Biography

I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up. You could call me an artist now, but I am still growing up. I'd like to consider myself a creative guy, influenced by other illustrators, stories and things around me. My ambition in life is to achieve the best that I can with my talent. Illustrating is what I do, and it justifies a Saturday night in. There is always an excuse to draw; procrastination at it's best in my world.

Born in Bombay, India - I lived there till the age of 10, and started all over again when my family and I made the giant leap down under to Auckland, New Zealand.

After high school, I studied a Bachelor of Design for 4 years, majoring in Visual Communication. I graduated in 2005 and immediately started work as a Graphic Designer, though I carried on drawing pictures with any spare time. The 4 years of study enhanced my illustration skills, taught me to be a graphic designer and changed the way I think.

I enjoy developing and creating characters, have an interest in fashion illustration, people and animals.

Achievements

• Illustration selected as Panprint Calendar Competition finalist in the 2005 theme, "Looking forward to the next 50 years.”
• Illustrations featured in Nikau Magazine in Paris, France.
