Biography Ross Kinnaird has worked for more years than he cares to remember as an art director and illustrator for advertising and publishing. He has worked In London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Auckland, where he now lives. His style is a result of his gnat-like attention span. He is also a storyteller/illustrator, mostly working for The New Zealand Book Council visiting primary schools throughout New Zealand. He uses humour to motivate children to read and draw. A complete failure at many subjects at school, especially math, he can now exact his revenge on teachers by drawing very unflattering caricatures of them in front of their pupils. His first children’s book 'Why Do Dogs Sniff Bottoms?' Won the coveted Children's Choice Award at the 2003 NZ Post Book awards. He has also been a 2007 finalist with 'It's True You Can Make Your Own Jokes'
