Biography Adrian Kinnaird spent his childhood learning the language of narrative storytelling, writing and illustrating a prolific amount of comic books. He studied Graphic Design at Auckland University of Technology graduating with a BGD majoring in illustration in 2001. The short graphic novel he published in his final year of study is included in the New Zealand National Library Collection. Since graduating he has worked as a freelance illustrator, working in a variety of styles for such clients as Macmillan Education, Weldon Owen and Scholastic US. Adrian's artworks are created using traditional pencil and ink media, assisted by digital colouring. He is also currently writing and illustrating two graphic novels, which he plans to publish in the near future. In his spare time he enjoys exploring concepts for other storytelling mediums, tinkering with screenwriting ideas for film and television. |
