Andrew  was born in Lancaster, England and his first introduction to drawing was at an early age by his mother. They sat sketching at Lancaster Castle, a new pad of cartridge paper, some pencils and a new eraser. More than two decades later Andrew is still compelled to create visual images, they are just a bit better now.

Andrew studied at The Blackpool Fylde College of Art and Design and was awarded a BA (Hons) Degree in Scientific and Natural History Illustration in 1999. During his time there he also gained a dear wife who is also a very talented botanical artist.

Andrew has spent the last five years acquiring skills in digital media such as Adobe Photoshop, illustrator and 3D modelling and visualization. His favourite artist is Geoff Taylor and his favourite possession is his Syd Mead Book 'Sentury'. If he could possess a super power it would be to never need to sleep, he could draw and paint more.
