Biography

Astrid Matijasevich is a versatile graphic designer, trained at Auckland University of Technology, specializing in visual material for children.

Her latest creation is Razza, hero of Witi Ihimaera's 'The Amazing Adventures of Razza the Rat', a character 'vibrantly illustrated as a perfect match for Razza's amazing ride.' NZ Weekend Herald

In 2003 her images featured in an Auckland Museum exhibition of children's book illustrations.

Astrid has illustrated over 50 educational titles for Wendy Pye and Reed Publishing. She uses a variety of media including ink and watercolour, and digital illustration.

Astrid lives in Auckland, New Zealand.
