Biography Scott Tulloch was born and raised in Wellington but now lives in Queenstown. After many years working as many things, including ten years as a professional artist with his own gallery, Scott Tulloch decided to return to his childhood hankering to become an illustrator and author of picture books. Scott's first book was Willy’s Dad, (HarperCollins NZ, 2007), which was a tale about the role-reversal and relationship between a toddler and his father. John McIntyre described it as having, ‘great visual gags…and a delightfully touching ending’ on Radio New Zealand’s Nine to Noon programme. (John McIntyre, Radio NZ, 7 August 2007). Since then Scott has written and illustrated many titles for Harpercollins and now also enjoys a very close relationship with Scholastic NZ. As well as illustrating his own titles, Scott also illustrates for other authors including Craig 'The Wonky Donkey' Smith, for whom he has illustrated the hugely successful, My Daddy Ate an Apple (Scholastic 2013), and Square Eyes (Scholastic 2014). Published WorksWilly’s Dad (HarperCollins 2007). AwardsRussell Clarke Illustration Award Shortlist 2008 for Willy's Dad |
