Biography Ronja was born 1975 in Munich, Germany and is a creative all-rounder with 20 years experience in the publishing, fashion and advertising industry in Europe and NZ with a particular passion for illustration. Having graduated top of the class from the Designschule Muenchen with a diploma in Fashion and Graphic Design, she explored the fashion world at Modom Trend Agency in Paris before joining Bauer Media’s Bravo Girl magazine as fashion editor. Subsequently spreading her wings as a freelance stylist and illustrator allowed her to work for various youth, fashion and news magazines such as, Myself, Allegra, Sugar and Stern as well as a range of ad agencies and corporates. After meeting her Kiwi husband and travelling the planet for a solid year with her sketch book, Ronja settled in NZ where she embarked on her journey through the advertising world, first as a graphic designer for various ad agencies and magazines, and finally as art director for Colenso.99. Since having her two Bavarian/Kiwi boys, she set up bureau55, her own design studio in West Auckland, where she continues to generate creative ideas that deliver results for her clients. Ronja has created illustrations for numerous magazines, ad campaigns, packaging, books and more as well as taught adult drawing classes. She enjoys yoga, tramping, making jewellery from bike tyres, learning the cello, up-cycling objects and living the Kiwi dream with her boys. |
